Who we are

Shot by João produces digital fashion imagery for brands. For anything about your data, contact us at joao@shotbyjoao.agency. We are the data controller for the information described below.

What we collect

When you request the free test or build a pack, we collect the details you send us:

• Your brand name and email address.
• Your website and Instagram handle.
• The product photos you upload for the free test.
• The pack and image types you select.

We use no tracking pixels or third-party analytics and collect no browsing data, so we show no cookie banner. The only cookie we set is a functional one that remembers your language choice.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

We use your details to reply to you, to produce the images you ask for, and to deliver your monthly pack. The legal basis is the steps taken at your request before and under a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), and your consent when you send us your product photos (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us.

Your product photos

We use the photos you upload only to create the image you requested. We do not publish them or show them as examples without asking you first in a separate message. If you become a client we keep them for the duration of our work together; otherwise we delete the uploaded photos within 90 days of delivering or declining the free test.

How long we keep it

We keep your contact details (brand, email, website, Instagram) for as long as we are in touch and for up to 12 months afterwards, so we can recognise repeat requests. You can ask us to delete them sooner.

Who processes it for us

Your data is stored and delivered through a small number of providers who act on our instructions: Cloudflare (hosting and database, EU region) and Resend (email delivery). We do not sell your data or share it with anyone else.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, delete or export your data, or object to how we use it. Email joao@shotbyjoao.agency and we will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority (in Portugal, the CNPD).

Free-test terms

• The free test is one image, one time per brand.
• You confirm you own or have the right to use the product photos you upload.
• You may publish the finished image we send you for your own brand, on any channel, at no cost. A credit to Shot by João is welcome but not required.
• The free test is a sample of our work; it does not include the revisions or commercial rights that come with a monthly pack.
